Following an integrative approach to helping people navigate their way through whatever difficulties they are facing. Integrative is using several counselling frameworks. I use Psychodynamic, mindfulness-based and person-centred therapy in a way that is appropriate to each client's individual needs. I use my skills to go in-depth with clients to explore past experiences and fears to release pain and help make peace to move forward. I also like to use creative therapy, which uses creative ways to help people feel at ease to explore the things they feel they need to.
I have developed a unique technique for trauma memory recovery that helps clients connect to their past experiences in a reframed way. The technique is the Retrace Therapy Technique© (RTT). This process helps unlock, process, and alleviate symptoms of post-traumatic stress PTS and past trauma. I run workshops for other therapists to share and teach this technique.
Having experience within a prison and secondary education setting as a therapist and support teacher. This combination of therapy and education has allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals in educational and institutional settings.
One of my key offerings is longer therapy sessions. Research suggests that longer sessions, without the common 50-minute time constraint, allows clients to speak more freely and work through emotions without feeling rushed or measured. I offer these extended sessions when appropriate, following an initial assessment.
Above all, I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients are met with empathy, respect, and understanding, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
